Ultrasound and Echocardiogram

Ultrasound and Echocardiogram

We offer in house advanced ultrasound and echocardiogram to explore any underlying cause of disease. Ultrasound is the second most commonly used imaging format in veterinary practice, as it allows to vets to diagnose a range of conditions. We can connect with internal medicine doctors or cardiologists via telemedicine, if necessary to take expert opinion. Ultrasound guided needle cytology, biopsies, cystocentesis, and thoracocentesis are few examples of what can be used to explore cause of the disease conditions.

An echocardiogram is used as a diagnostic tool that enables our veterinary team to visualize the structure and functionality of your pets heart. In doing so, it can provide crucial information about the health and function of their heart that includes how big the heart is, how thick the walls of the heart are, how effectively the heart is pumping, if there is any damage to your pets heart and more. We also have access to telemedicine cardiologists during these scans for any assistance necessary.
