Dawson Forest Animal Hospital offers a wide range of surgeries in house such as:
- Preventive surgeries such as spay/neuter
- Gastropexy, or stomach tacking, for deep chested dogs
- Dental cleanings, with or without extractions
- Orthopedic surgeries
- Mass removals, benign or malignant
- Emergency surgeries: Foreign body removal, gastric dilation and volvulus, laceration and wound repair, exploratory laparotomy, etc
Scheduled surgeries are performed Monday through Friday.
Please fill out a surgery and anesthesia release form ahead of time (available on our website) which you can bring with you to save time, or e-mail over to us. We require no food or water after midnight before being admitted the morning of surgery.
