What is Stem Cell Therapy?
Stem cell therapy is the application of stem cells to treat various disease conditions including arthritis, ligament rupture and hip dysplasia. These cells are undifferentiated live cells that can divide to produce more stem cells and can differentiate into specialized normal body cells. Therefore, application of these cells in damaged body parts induce regeneration and help in repair of the damaged tissue.
How Safe Stem Cell Therapy Is?
Stem cell therapy is considered to be safe as stem cells are taken from and returned back to the same pet. Therefore, there is minimal risk of hypersensitivity reactions after injection of stem cells in body.
Why Is Stem Cell Therapy So Important for My Pet?
Stem cell therapy will provide long-term anti-inflammatory effects, decrease pain and heal damaged tissue therefore improving quality of your pets' life. More importantly, stem cell therapy provides long term relief to affected animals and the results last from 1 to 5 years. You will see improvements (e.g. pain relief, healing) a few days to a few weeks after the injection.
How does the Stem Cell Therapy Procedure Work ?
We obtain stem cells from fatty tissue via a simple surgical procedure. The tissue sample will be processed to obtain highly regenerative stem cells. The stem cells are then delivered back to the dogs and cats at the injury site and with an intravenous (IV) administration.
