There are several occurrences that may qualify as a pet emergency. Some are obvious, like trouble breathing, collapsing or bleeding, but others are not obvious at all. If your pet is acting strange and you aren’t sure why, give us a call and we can help!
Recognizing a Pet Emergency
Some emergencies are easy to recognize, such as difficulty breathing, collapse, severe bleeding, or significant injuries. However, other serious conditions may begin with less obvious changes. Signs such as sudden weakness, unusual behavior, repeated vomiting, difficulty walking, extreme lethargy, abdominal swelling, or simply acting unlike themselves may also require veterinary attention. If something seems wrong with your pet and you are unsure whether it qualifies as an emergency, give us a call. Our team can help you determine the appropriate next step and advise you on whether your pet should be evaluated.
